FEBRUARY | 2013 – TEKFLOOR BEGINS TRADING
We begin our journey in 2013, simply because we felt that UK screeding industry was being poorly served by existing distributors. Screeding products are often a small part of a large distributor’s business and as such, screeders can often end up with rubbish service.
So, we formulated our plan – to create a business dedicated to servicing the needs of screeders, paying close attention to:
• Great customer service
• Short lead times
• Expert technical advice
• A full range of floor screeding products
We planned to offer everything a screeder could ever need, and more! And with that, Tekfloor Limited was born.
OCTOBER | 2015
Tekfloor becomes FORS registered.
JUNE | 2017
We hit £10m in turnover.
JANUARY | 2018
Tekfloor HQ moves to Goldthorpe. The move increases our warehouse space up to 50 thousand square foot.
MAY | 2018
We break into the world of external render adding external wall insulation systems and ancillary products to our ever-growing product portfolio.
JANUARY | 2019
UKSE invests in Tekfloor to support our growth plans and to create local jobs.
FEBRUARY | 2019
We upgrade our fleet to brand new vehicles, including Moffetts, and achieve FORS Gold.
MAY | 2019
We extend our product range again, our customers had a greater need for insulation products that extended beyond flooring, so we add specialist insulation to our ever growing portfolio.
SEPTEMBER | 2019
We hit £20m in turnover.
JANUARY | 2020
We expand into Unit 2 at our Goldthorpe depot, increasing our total warehouse space to 100,000 square foot.
This expansion allows us the space to invest in machinery to launch our manufacturing service, offering thermal laminates, routed UFH boards and offsite cutting.
MARCH | 2020
COVID impacts the whole country. Tekfloor puts safety measures in place and stays open to support the continuation of construction throughout the pandemic.
FEBRUARY | 2019
We upgrade our fleet to brand new vehicles, including Moffetts, and achieve FORS Gold.
SEPTEMBER | 2020
The BMD website launches, marking the first of many e-commerce websites and expanding our customer base to cover home delivery.
JUNE | 2021
We hit £30m in turnover.
JUNE | 2022
We acquire Unit 3 at our Goldthorpe site to allow for more stock and manufacturing capability.
This brings our current total to 200 thousand square foot, plus we now have our own fleet of over 45 vehicles.
SEPTEMBER | 2022
We invest in developing our range fabricated products to enter the ceilings, HVAC and fire protection market.
NOVEMBER | 2022
We expand our product range further to include groundworks.

TEKFLOOR CHANGES TO TEKGROUP!
Since Tekfloor started 10 years ago, we have changed beyond recognition.
We are now suppling over £40million of goods and services every year, and whilst screed will always be close to our hearts and culture, we do an awful lot more than that. We sell a much larger range of products including:

• Groundworks
• Screeds
• Render
• Underfloor Heating Solutions
• Dry Screed
• Drylining Solutions
• Passive Fire Protection
• Fixings
And we also offer a wide‐ranging manufacturing service.
To reflect these significant changes, on 13th February 2023 we change our name to TekGroup!
